The first thing I do when I get to a new city is explore. My favourite way to do this is to run: not fast, not timed, not keeping track of distance – but to see as much as I can, as quickly as I can.
I am Marthe, I am 24, and I have been running, travelling, and writing for as long as I can remember. I have always loved travelling and blogging, and it seemed logical to merge these passions into one travel/running blog.
In the past few years I have spent months in the USA travelling across over 20 states, backpacked across Vietnam, braved the cold of Oslo in February, run through the streets of Edinburgh, raced around Czechia, and much, much more. I’ve been extremely lucky to see as much as I have, and I want to share my favourite run routes with you, whilst telling you a bit about the highlights from my trips.
In 2018 I worked towards my 300km challenge. I ran just over 300km in 3 months through doing: the Annapurna Ultramarathon, London Marathon, and Edinburgh Marathon in 2018. I raised money for the Mental Health Foundation, and you can read more about my fundraising here.
In 2019 I will be running the London Marathon and looking out for more challenges along the way.
